Life in Montana is... different than other places I've lived. I suppose you could say that those places were different than Montana, and we could have a lively debate about which is normal. Regardless, the differences in lifestyle a Montanan has in comparison to, say, a Texan, is built around a bond with the environment that exists here, and not there.

Montana has a Big Sky, but our sky isn't really any bigger. We are a Treasure State, but our treasure isn't just gold and silver. And I live in a Magic City that is anything but magical.

Because of all of that, when you ask a Montanan about a rainbow, we are more likely to look to a stream than to the sky.
