Pet Portrait Paintings

The first pet I lost as a child was my cat. I can't say her name because that would give you some keys to various passwords, but I can say I loved her. She slept at my feet, under my covers every night, a warm purring reminder that I was loved. That is until one night where she made her way outside and was struck by a car. I have nothing but fading memories of her, and I wanted to find a way to change that for myself and others.

This is Bubba...

painted pet portraits that use the photos of your pet that you have on your phone

Bubba is a Pugmeranian I guess that joined my family in 2010. He became every bit a best friend, traveling companion, shoulder to cry on, and everything else a pet is that's more than just an animal. In April of 2021 his liver failed, he lost nearly half of his body weight, he could barely stand, and we made a decision to end his pain with dignity. It broke our hearts. This time though I had several pictures of Bubba on my phone, as most of us do, and I decided to turn those into a painted memorial to his life and his life's impact on me and my family. The pain remains, but I find relief in being able to see his silly scrunched face in the mornings again.

AndAbelArt Pet Portrait Paintings start with a high resolution photo of your pet. A suitable background is selected. Your pet is inserted into the setting. The composite image is digitally painted.

If you're here, you can probably relate, and I would be honored to do the same for you.

To create your Pet Portrait, simply place your order today. Then email a photo or photos of your pet along with a brief description that I can use to personalize the setting to shawn@andabelart.com with your order number in the subject line.

I'll work up a rough draft image and email it to you for your approval, and, once approved, I turn that image into a digitally painted work of art. Prints are available in a variety of sizes and print options and shipped directly to you. I also email you a .jpg copy of your painting to share on social media.
