Beertucky Derby - Turn your party into a the OTB with this Card Game
Pick your horse (suit), place your bets (drink wagers) and watch as the race unfolds one card at a time! One player acts as the dealer while other players place drink wagers on their favorite suit. The dealer then deals cards one at a time face up placing it in line with the appropriate suit. First to cross the finish line wins!
All you need to play is a standard deck of playing cards, 2-8 friends, and a few drinks.
Standard size for this game is 48"x16" to fit any 2'x4' table. Easy-to-follow rules are embedded in the design.
Non-Adhesive Banners - These banners are designed to be rolled out onto a table's surface, used, wiped clean, and then rolled up to be stored for later use. We use 14 oz Super Smooth Vinyl Banner. These banners are scratch resistant, waterproof and UV resistant. Clean up with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive washcloth. DO NOT use solvent based cleaning products - test all cleaning products to see if they interact with the printing.
GAME RULES:
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY:
• Minimum of 2 players, but this is a great game for a group, so feel free to gather a group around the table.
• Each player will need to use a token to mark their bet. Think outside the box on this one people - a coin, a breath mint, one of those little plastic swords, etc.
• A standard 52-card deck of playing cards. If you didn't bring one with you, check at the bar.
• A Beertucky Derby game table. You could play without one, but I'm literally right here...
• One player that will volunteer to be the Announcer (Dealer).
• Your favorite adult beverage(s). Beer works best, but this is a game of betting on drinks and I'm just a sticker, so I'm not going to even try to tell you what you can or cannot bet.
HOW TO PLAY:
• The Beertucky Derby is a game where players bet on one of four horses (the Aces from the deck) to win the race.
• Players select a horse to bet on, place a bet with their token (number of drinks - 1-4) in either the Exacta (x4), Trifecta (x3), or Daily Double (x2), and then sit back as the race unfolds.
• The Announcer starts the race by flipping the top card of the deck face up and putting it the lane that its suit corresponds to. Play continues until one horse has completed all 8 links of the race becoming the winner.
• Steroids - If the Announcer deals an Ace, that suit gets a little jolt skipping ahead one link of the race.
• Losing players must drink the number they bet.
• Winning players give out drinks to losing players. Ex: If the winning player bet 2 drinks on the Exacta (x4), they have 8 drinks to give out in any way that player wishes.
