Light v. Dark Checkers a Sophisticated Cultured Drinking Game
Light v. Dark Checkers is Checkers, with booze (played with cups of either Light or Dark beer as game pieces). Pocket Change Chess is Chess, with booze (played with pocket change, obviously, as game pieces). This ain't rocket science, it's party drinking games with structure!
Light v. Dark Checkers plays just like regular checkers but with light beer squaring off against dark beer. King a player by emptying their cup and flipping it over. Super easy.
Likewise, Pocket Change Chess plays like regular chess but when you lose a piece, you drink. Don't have a chess set handy? No problem! I've developed a system where players use pocket change in place of traditional chess pieces. Heads v. Tails: Pennies are Pawns, Nickels are Rooks, Dimes are Knights, Quarters are Bishops, Quarters topped with a Penny are Queens, and Quarters topped with a Nickle are Kings. $2.88.
Standard size for this game is 34"x22" to fit any 2'x4' table. Easy-to-follow rules are embedded in the design.
Adhesive Backed Vinyl Decals - These decals are designed for a semi-permanent installation on the tables you already have. We use 3M High Performance Vinyl with Matte Lamination for vibrant colors and durability.
Installation: Clean table surface with Window Cleaner or All-Purpose Cleaner. Re-clean surface with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any remaining residue. Center decal on table surface and secure in place with masking tape. Fold one half pf the decal back over itself peeling the decal away from the backing paper. Remove and discard exposed backing paper. Carefully apply decal to table's surface with vinyl applicator or credit card starting from the center and working towards the edges. Remove masking tape and repeat the process for the other half of the decal.

GAME RULES:
LIGHT V DARK CHECKERS
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY:
• 2-4 players. This is usually a heads up game, but alternating players on teams can't be a bad thing.
• 24 shot glasses - 12 filled with a dark beer, 12 filled with a light beer.
• A handy-dandy Dark vs. Light game table. Ohhhhh... this one looks nice! That's convenient.
HOW TO PLAY:
• Set-Up - Each player starts with 12 shot glasses (either light beer or dark beer) on the dark squares of the three rows closest to that player. The Crownhead or King's Row is the row closest to each player. Dark beer goes first and then the turns alternate.
• Simple move - A simple move consists of moving a shot glass one square diagonally forward to an adjacent unoccupied dark square. Uncrowned pieces cannot move diagonally backward.
• Jumping - A jump consists of moving a shot glass that is diagonally adjacent an opponent's shot glass, to an empty square immediately beyond it in the same direction thus jumping over the opponent's shot glass. Normal pieces can only jump diagonally forward, but Kings can jump in any diagonal direction. A jumped piece is considered captured and must be consumed and removed from the game. Any piece can jump a king.
• Multiple Jumps - Multiple jumps are possible, if after one jump, another piece is immediately eligible to be jumped, even if that jump is in a different diagonal direction. Jumping is always mandatory: if a player has the option to jump, he must take it, even if doing so results in disadvantage for the jumping player.
• Kings - If a player moves into the Crownhead or Kings Row on the opponent's side of the board, it is crowned as a king and gains the ability to move both forward and backward. The opposing player must consume the drink and flip it upside down and return it to the game board signifying that the piece is now a King.
• Winning - A player wins by capturing all of the opponent's pieces. The game ends in a draw if by leaving the opponent with no legal move or neither side can force a win.
