An Actor - 18x24 - Digital Painting - 2009

I generally try to steer clear of self portraits. I want to make art, not be art, but I thought I could make a statement with this piece. That statement? We are all actors in the world. We put on faces that hide our true selves. I find it to be dishonest. I can do it, but I would much rather just stay home.
