Grace - 24x36 - Digital Painting - 2009

I've been to several churches throughout my life. I suppose I go searching for answers to questions like 'What is grace?'

I think it is being someone greater than another in one regard or another being willing to offer a helping hand because of an understanding that we were all deposited here, on this tiny spinning rock amidst the void and vastness of the universe, at random and we are all in this together, but doing so in a way that seeks no reward or even acknowledgement of the act.

This stoic angelic shaped tree, superior to the frail flowers in nearly every way, offers protection, assistance, shelter while obscuring eyes from relishing in gratitude.
