Larry, Moe and Curly - 16x32 - Digital Painting - 2022
I'm working on a rather involved piece at the moment - a depiction of the things that ruin the world, and along the way I started sketching horses. The piece I was working on, am working on, is so dense and complicated I needed a break from it. I started thinking about el Diablo - a black stallion my mother's father owned when I was a kid. I was never allowed near that horse, but when asked why his name was what it was, I was told it was Spanish for 'Letter Opener' because people are full of shit. I get a chuckle out of it to this day every time I see el Diablo anywhere. I'm also a fan of simple cinema like the Three Stooges, and I have two brothers myself. Had may be more appropriate, but that's a story for a different painting. Anyway, here's Larry, Moe and Curly. Three horses in a field.
