Political Parties - 20x28 - Digital Painting - 2022

It occurred to me a while back that I've never attempted anything cubist. So... I gave it a shot.

The style was easy enough to comprehend, but subject was a little harder to nail down. As fate would have it, I found myself working for a political organization that swears up and down that it's not political and that got me thinking about the absolute disfunction of the American governmental system.

In America, common people have been pitted against each other while a ruling class robs us blind and tries to kill us. The two political parties function as two sides of the same corrupt coin. To depict this, I've chosen to illustrate a scene that depicts the Democrat Donkey and Republican Elephant defiling the corpse of Lady Liberty on top of the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

Found out I really like cubism.
