The Many Faces of an Emissary - 24x30 - Digital Painting - 2022

I have many issues with organized religion, not the least of which is a prevailing assumption that the creator of the universe decided to visit a small segment of his creation in order to guide it, but chose to do so only once, long ago, to one small geographically isolated region with pre-existing cultural norms.

I tend to think that if I were God, I would want to reach all of the various tribes of people around the globe at what may seem like random times throughout history. I would take many forms, and have many faces.

This piece is a representation of a divinity that has been many versions. Christ... Buddha... Vishnu... Ra... and likely many others.
